The 2017 International Grant Professionals Week (#IGPW) is March 6-10, 2017, and is one of my favorite weeks out of the year. It is an annual celebration to recognize and show appreciation to grant professionals all around the world. What professional doesn’t like to be shown some appreciation?
There are over 1.5 million grant professionals around the world who seek, implement, and award approximately $700 billion in grant funding each year. I am proud to be one of those grant professionals and to partner with the Grant Professionals Association again for the 2017 International Grant Professionals Week (#IGPW) and International Grant Professionals Day (#IGPD).

Each day of this week-long celebration is devoted to an aspect of the profession.
- Monday, March 6th – Grant Profession Education & Awareness Day
- Tuesday, March 7th – GPA Chapter and Community Event Day
- Wednesday, March 8th – International Event Day
- Thursday, March 9th – Thank you! Grant Entrepreneurs, Partners, and Volunteer Day
- Friday, March 10th – International Grant Professionals Day
How to celebrate:
- Attend a local GPA chapter event
- Post on social media using the hashtags #IGPW and #IGPD
- Participate in #GrantChat Tuesday, March 7 at noon 12 pm
- Show your grant professional appreciation – The GPA has a letter template, if you would like to use it.
